Spectacular Find!! Once in a Life Time!! Demi parure consisting of a necklace with matching earrings by Cis, aka Countess Zoltowska. The necklace is made up of a double row prong set crackled glass cabochons in the colors lilac, olivine and purple and a row of aurora borealis stones cut in flower shape without a table. The construction with prong set, crackled glass cabochons, the flower shaped aurora borealis stones without a central table and the use of the color olivine, are all very indicative for Cis jewelry. The way the stones are interconnected and the extension of oval rope patterned links with one of the used stones at the end, are also ‘dead give aways’. Despite the fact that there is no signature, as is very common in Cis jewelry, this demi parure is ‘signed all over’. Gold tone setting. The necklace has a hook clasp, earrings are clips. A more elaborately designed set, that is similar to this one, is featured in Ginger Moro: European Designer Jewelry, p 73, value (1995) $1500-1800. See scans of the set and of the description of style indicators of Cis jewelry. A beautiful set AND by coincidence in this seasons fashion colors: purple and olivine!! Length necklace: 44 cm Measurements earring: 2 x 2,3 cm Signed: not signed Condition: very good, repairs at the back of the gold tone setting, invisible when worn A private viewing at your residence (or other location of your choice) can be arranged if you live in the Netherlands or Belgium.
